Great advice! I am trying to rebuild my credit after a chapter 7 bankruptcy. The best advice I can give is to create a budget and stick to it. Know the difference between “wants” and “needs”. Do not make big purchases on a whim…give yourself at least a day and do a lot of comparison shopping.

School is a big step for people, and finishing is big for me I never got any financial help with school from my parents. So I had to take it all on my own shoulders as well as rent and all the other bills that come with your own place. But I will tell you that if you’re in a similar situation as I, that these tips are really wonderful, especially the debt consolidation if you do find yourself in an ever mounting pile of debt.

Debt was my main concern when I started college. I had no credit and I didn’t have a credit card so I thought that I would be okay, but you def. need credit to get accepted with anything..so what I did was went to my bank and got a card through them…I put a low limit on the card and only use it for gas or other things that I know I would be able to pay at the end of the month
