The Importance of Your Credit Score
I’m sure you have heard about your credit score before. If you’re like me, this probably is not playing a very important part of your college life. When I was
in school a few years back, my credit score was probably the least of my worries. Now, 3 years later, it is on my mind all the time. I’ll explain why – first, ask yourself the following questions:
Do you plan on purchasing a home in the next 5-10 years?
Do you plan on purchasing a vehicle in the next 5-10 years?
Do you plan on landing a decent job?
Do you plan on renting an apartment?
If you answered yes to ANY of the above questions, guess what, your likley to need a good credit score. With the recent economic changes in our country, it is now more important then ever. Don’t hesitate, find out what your score is today, and aim to improve that by 100+ points by the time you graduate. You will thank yourself – TRUST ME!

Good information.
credit is really unnecessary if you work your money right.
I learned about this in econ, great info!
awesome idea
Having credit is very important if you plan on getting any kind of financing trough a bank. I have traveled that road before, and when I got hurt and could not work my credit was destroyed and I lost everything I had worked for on top of 50% use of my arm. I am retraining so that I can start making a decent living again now, and when I do I will save my money and pay for EVERYTHING in cash! That way no one can take your lifes worth away from you and make you look like an irresponsible bum.
Sorry to hear about your loss of job and use of your arm, but believe me I am with you on paying cash! I do, learning from experience, and remember, you were not irresponsible, you just had some unfortunate happening in your life, but in life keep the faith and it too will soon pass…peace be with you..
This is a really good blog, very helpful and clearly written.
