Current status: Broke
Alright so I have not set foot in a bodega since my last post. I have saved about $13. I know that I have to do more than blow off the bodega to save $500 by whenever the deadline is (anybody know? ). Im searching high and low for new ways to save. but everything I can think of includes me cutting things out of my life that give me great joy. Whoever said money doesnt = happiness was never a poor college student in nyc stuck in a studio apt with no money to do ANYTHING. Ok im starting to make myself depressed. For real though, saving $500 is really hard. But im finding that every time I want something small…I have to stop myself, then I add up all the money i wiould have spent, then transfer it into my ING account. I also set up a recurring transfer of $25/ week from bank account…so its like I dont even know its gone. sort of

I feel you. I ended up dropping out this semester because of financial reasons. Sure I am only a poor little girl from Wyoming, but plenty of things have happened to me this semester. “When life gives you lemons, Make lemonade”… do the best you can with what you have.
