11.07.08 | …Staving off Bill Collectors with Soda Cans

Posted in Student Savings Tips by Little Miss Platinum

…of which I don’t know which is a bigger challenge?: saving up $500 before the due date, or trying to think of something to say after staying up until 2am yet again trying to get yet another chapter of some class I’m taking crammed down into my brain pan before the next assignment is due.

As a college student, I think we’re up to the challenge of taking on more course hours than we dreamed possible, fitting in more time to study and somehow siphoning off enough nutrition from a bag of 10 cent Ramen noodles without gaining our freshman 15, even in our 4th year or (ahem) longer.

The bigger challenge?  Saving money.  Especially when it’s been such a long time I can’t remember what money looks like, or even knew it existed anymore.  Well, okay, I’m pretty sure it exists, since every month some people send these things called “bills” and they demand some of this mysterious stuff.  Now, don’t get me wrong…I recycle soda cans on campus to help make ends meet.  So this will not be an easy thing.  But, since I’m up for the challenge, maybe you would be, too, since there are 2 $500 dollar prizes, and you just might get a nice bonus for your efforts.

… money still exists. I know this because I found some whilst recycling the vacuume cleaner bag recently. Okay, it was just 20 cents, but that almost pays for a bag of top ramen. :P

    Hang in there BB
