Windfalls and weighty moments

Posted in Student Savings Tips by Little Miss Platinum

Score! The other day, I got an envelope in the mail (rare, I know, those “envelopes” coming in the mail of all things!) which contained a check from a doctor’s office saying I had overpaid them by a couple dollars for a visit a year ago.  Nice.  Think I’ll go blow it all on a Vegas vacation  :P

The “weighty moments” part of this entry is to remind people that we’re all in this together in terms of final exams (except Captain J, the outcast graduate…sorry J!) and to not let stress get to you.  It might be easy to indulge in unnecessary things like a snack from the vending machine, but remember, as my fellow bloggers have been saying, every bit counts, and the chips you get really only last a moment on your tastebuds, but can last a lot longer around your waist.  There are many things you can do that are not as costly, such as harassing your parents for a care package of popcorn and chewing gum, or taking a walk, or even irritating your neighbors by blasting your music loudly for a while (my roommates like to point out I like to do all three at once, and I like to point out I can run faster than they can).

Actually, they had to send it back, since it was part of an internal audit..which is why it took a year, I guess
